Set out below are some general items of information which may be of interest to any prospective new member of the Golf Club.

Membership Application

There are two ways in which membership can be obtained:-

Sponsored by an existing member, or
Personal application

 

In either case an application form (available below) must be completed and forwarded to the Secretary.  Prospective members will be interviewed by officials of the Club prior to the issue of a nomination form.  The nomination form is then posted on the Club Notice Board for at least 14 days so that any objection can be registered.

The Secretary will then advise the applicant of the Club’s decision.  A copy of the Club Rule Book and Membership Card and Fixtures Book will be made available on election.

 

The 2016 entrance fee for new members is £500. In special circumstances this may be paid over a mutually agreed period of up to 5 years .

 

The 2016 annual subscription for a full playing  member is currently £999 and for a 5 day member is £810.  The subscription payments can be paid on a monthly basis.

Junior Fees for 2016 are as follows

 Junior age 8-9: £20                    Junior age 10-11: £40

Facilities

The club office is open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 3.00pm
The bar is normally open 7 days per week from 11.30
A franchised catering service is provided each day from 11.30am until 4.30pm with restaurant facilities available when required especially for the Sunday lunch carvery from 12.00 noon until 3.00pm.
A resident P.G.A. Professional is available for golfing tuition, and for the sale or advice on the best equipment for your game.

 

General Details

Access into the Club House is via the main door or the locker room door and is gained by use of a swipe card or push button security. All members are issued with a SWIPE CARD which may be used for access into the Club House, and exit  from the car park.  The card is also used for purchases from the bar.

 

The Club operates a dress code policy, both on the course and in the Club House, details of which can be found in the Membership Card and Fixtures booklet.

 

A variety of competitions are held during the summer months, details of which can be found in the Membership Card and Fixtures booklet.  A timed competition start sheet is displayed 3 weeks prior to the Competition for members’ to enter their name. With the exception of competitions no start times are necessary.
